Four students, one city that floods.

BayouWatch is built by a student engineering team at Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, for the neighborhoods they grew up in.

    Sets scope and schedule, and owns the relationships with school and community partners.

    Leads how BayouWatch explains itself to judges, residents and partner organizations.

  • Lead researcher

    Researches flood modeling, the historical Harvey record and where Houston needs sensors most.

BayouWatch began as a civic technology research project at Carnegie Vanguard High School, with guidance from the flood-data organizations listed on our partners page.
