BayouWatch is an early-warning aid, not a substitute for official guidance from the National Weather Service, the Harris County Flood Control District or local emergency management. Always follow evacuation orders from official authorities, and call 911 in an emergency.

Readings, forecasts and replays on this site are provided on a best-effort basis. They can be delayed, incomplete or occasionally wrong because of hardware, network or upstream data-provider problems. Streets can flood from overwhelmed storm drains even when nearby bayous read normal.

BayouWatch is a nonprofit student research project built by Carnegie Vanguard High School students for the Houston community, provided as is, with no warranty of uninterrupted availability.
